Meet OG TRAIN member Ross 🏃🏽💪🏽

Ross has been following our group TRAIN programme since 2022, and the progress he’s made has been unmatched - namely because he doesn’t miss a beat!

In December last year, Ross signed up to his first HYROX doubles, and after switching his training to The HYROX Blueprint (our 10-week race programme) he smashed his first hit-out in a very respectable 1:05🔥

With the chance to dance again just 8 weeks later, Ross and his doubles partner fully committed to the grind, jumping back in to our HYROX programme once again!

Last weekend, they SMASHED their goal of sub 60 - and even felt they had more in the tank next time around😮‍💨

THIS WEEK INSIDE THE HUB

This week was centred around providing the tools and systems to resort to when clients face pain.

Pain is unfortunately something we as Coaches will always be faced with, and how we react to it determines how a client not only navigates the problem, but continues to make progress.

Within the Hub, our goal is to equip Coaches with the tools to deal with situations that bring friction to their business or service. In the instance of dealing with pain, we explored the notion of exercise indexing and the ability to solve problems for clients at the right level.

Across programme design and exercise selection, we can always have a profound impact on moving our clients forward. One of the valuable discussions we had in yesterday’s live call was the ability to be tactile across exercise selection and differentiate exercises across a regression and progression model [level 1-2-3].

Within our next Office Call, we will be applying this to group training, and tackling the challenges of exercise indexing in a group setting, where both diversity of injuries and psychology of regressions can play a huge role.

Meet 1-1 Bespoke Coaching client Dan💪🏽

When Dan first came to us, he had lost all consistency and enthusiasm for training.

Taking action, Dan jumped on to a 1-1 Coaching Programme and working with Coach Luke, was driven to get stronger and muscular, lose weight and feel more energised.

In the last year, he has made incredible progress! Here are Dan’s words about his journey so far:

“I signed up because nothing else was working for me. The workouts I saw on their IG looked fun, so I thought, at the very least, I’ll enjoy myself. I was wrong—but in the best way possible.

Yes, they made the gym fun again, but more than that, MBP helped me crush every limiting belief I had about fitness. For years, I avoided barbell back squats—they always ended in spasms and setbacks.

From the very first workout, I could tell something was different. The sessions were less strenuous than the classes I’d taken at other gyms, but week after week, I was getting stronger, leaner, and most importantly - waking up energised. They redefined what the gym means to me. I no longer feel like I’m just working out; now I feel like I’m training and working towards something.

Fast forward a year: I hit a 100kg PB back squat - something I never thought possible. And while I still track calories, my life doesn’t revolve around it.

MBP gave me the tools, the mindset, and the confidence to achieve things I thought were impossible. Their emphasis on mobility, smarter progression, and helping me reach goals without burning out makes them the best training program out there. MBP is a training program, but on top of that is the reason I feel excited about fitness again.”

We are hugely excited to announce our first guest speaker inside the MBP Coaches Education Hub; @shanepgore

Shane is a leading Physiotherapist with extensive knowledge and expertise across strength and conditioning and physiotherapy, with a background working in elite sport.

On Tuesday 4th February, Shane will be delivering an insightful webinar for the Coaches on the Hub entitled Recognising Potential Running Injuries: Signs & Symptoms.

Within the session, Shane will cover subjective signs and symptoms for common running-related injuries and how to determine the appropriate first steps of management. Specifically, we will be looking at issues around the knee including ITB syndrome, patellofemoral pain, fat pad impingement and quad/patella tendon issues.
