– Road, trail, and ultra-distance athletes
– Runners who struggle with injuries, plateaus, or inconsistency
– Anyone who wants to get stronger, more efficient, and confident on every terrain
*STRONG RUNNERS does require you to be confident in the following key movement patterns: squat, hinge, lunge, push, pull & carry
Strong Runners is crafted by Coach Ben, an ultra-endurance athlete who has conquered some of the world’s toughest mountain races. This isn’t a generic strength plan:
– Every exercise and progression is runner-specific – designed to complement your training, not conflict it
– Programmes are year-round: build in the off-season, peak in race season
– You’ll get direct access to your coach and community in-app for guidance, support, and accountability
– Option to add on expert race plans for all major distances [5km, 10km, Half Marathon & Marathon]
– Sessions Per Week: 3 structured strength workouts
– Session Duration: 40–60 minutes
– Delivery: Via MBP Training app with coaching & community support
– Requirements: Well-equipped gym access

Yes! Strong Runners is designed to complement your mileage, not compete with it. We’ll help you fit strength sessions seamlessly into your training week.
I’m completely new to strength training – is this programme suitable?
Strong Runners is not designed for total gym beginners. You’ll need basic competence in key movement patterns (squat, hinge, push, pull, lunge, carry). If you’re comfortable in the gym but new to structured programming, this is a great fit.
Is this only for competitive athletes?
No! While many members race, this programme is for any runner who wants to build strength, stay injury-free, and run their best – whether that’s a parkrun or an ultramarathon.
How is the programme delivered?
You’ll access Strong Runners through the MBP Training app, where you’ll get your workouts, video demos, and direct coach support.
What if I can’t do certain exercises?
You’ll get direct access to Coach Ben for guidance and modifications to keep you training safely and progressing.
